Kimball is sitting up so well by himself which has opened a whole new world of playtime for him. He also started eating solid foods and loves it all. He loves his brothers and gives them a good show by spitting or squealing at them. His personality is proving to be very feisty and determined.

Catch up!

After a break from my blog I now have to play catch up. . .

Andrew is getting better at being a big brother, but he still doesn't like it when the crying cuts into his play time (superheroes have gotta be ready to fly). He loves to read. My favorite Andrew saying came when we were reading scriptures. Since Caleb and Gabe are reading, Andrew wants to also, so we quietly whisper the words to him and then he repeats them outloud. I said "the disciples throughout the land." He repeated "the disciples threw out the land" which we didn't know until he said a few moments later, "That was mean for the disciples to throw out the land." We all had a good laugh.

Caleb, intense Wii player. We didn't know how competitive he was until we got Wii. We've had lots of talks about sometimes we win sometimes we lose, it's just a game, etc. I'm not sure how much is sinking in. Besides that, he continues to be a crazed Lego builder, best long distance runner in 1st grade (he averages 2 miles during their lunch recess), and amazingly able to focus and be really involved in T-ball. Babies love Caleb and he loves to make them smile, especially Kimball.

After months of suggesting that Gabe read Harry Potter, I just checked it out and left it where he would see it. He reluctantly picked it up and devoured the book in four days. Gabe is doing great at baseball! He has had a hit in each of his last games and he's great at playing catcher. Gabe recently got accepted into a 4/5/6 combined grade classroom for next year. We are excited for the challenged and fun projects the class has to offer.

Lastly, the highlight of our month was an 8 day visit from Grandma and Grandpa Jennings. We took them to the beach on a cloudy barely 60 degree day. We got to ride on the ferry. We had a day trip with hot dogs and marshmallows. We went to a lot of baseball games. We cleaned our house! Hooray! The boys loved having grandma and grandpa here and we were spoiled rotten to have them so long.
